Celebrate nature and conservation at the Put-in-Bay Moarch Fest on September 7, from 11 am to 2 pm at Duggan’s Field next to the South Bass Island Lighthouse. Hosted by the Lake Erie Islands Nature & Wildlife Center, this family-friendly event features butterfly tagging, kids’ butterfly races, games, food, face painting and live music. The event is aimed at supporting Monarch butterfly migration tracking and pollinator awareness. Explore the lighthouse, help catch butterflies and enjoy a fun day dedicated to protecting one of nature’s most iconic species.
