Celebrate Memorial Day at Put-in-Bay with a weekend dedicated to honoring veterans and active-duty military members. From May 24–26, 2025, Put-in-Bay welcomes visitors for a weekend filled with patriotic events, community celebrations and island fun.
The highlight of the weekend is the annual Salute to the Troops ceremony, held at Perry’s Victory & International Peace Memorial. This event pays tribute to the service and sacrifice of America’s military heroes.
To show appreciation, veterans and active-duty military can enjoy free ferry rides to Put-in-Bay on Memorial Day (May 26) via the Jet Express. Many local Put-in-Bay businesses also offer exclusive discounts to service members all weekend long.
