We are excited to announce the beginning of the 2020 Jet Express season to Put-in-Bay and the opening or our brand-new passenger terminal, Island Port, at our Port Clinton dock. Our operations will commence on May 22nd, 2020.We want to ensure that everyone is as safe as possible while enjoying the Jet Express and Put-in-Bay. Here are a few guidelines that we have put in place to keep everyone safe.
Operating Schedule
  • We will be operating under an amended schedule from May 22nd through June 14th. That schedule can be found on our Facebook page and at
  • We will move back to our originally published schedule for Port Clinton to Put-in-Bay on June 15th.
  • Currently, service from Sandusky to Cedar Point and Kelley’s Island is still ON HOLD. We hope to re-establish that service mid-June.

On the Dock
  • We highly recommend buying your tickets ahead of time on to eliminate having to wait in long lines at the ticket booth.
  • If you choose to purchase tickets when you arrive at the Jet Express, we ask that you maintain appropriate social distancing while waiting in line both at the ticket window and while boarding the ferry.
  • If you need to buy or redeem a season pass, please call 419-732-2800 to make an appointment ahead of time.
  • All our ticket windows have protective screens installed to mitigate contamination.
  • All our staff at the security checkpoint and at the ticket booth will have appropriate PPE to protect themselves and our customers.
  • Our restrooms will be open and will be sanitized and cleaned often.
Island Port
  • In accordance with Gov. DeWine’s order, our passenger terminal, Island Port, will be spaced and set up in accordance with keeping the appropriate social distancing.
  • At this time, we will only have beverage and snack service. We will add full food service as we expand our operations over the next several weeks.
  • Our restrooms will be open and will be sanitized and cleaned often.
While Onboard
  • We ask that everyone sit or stand with the party that they came with and maintain social distancing as best as possible. We will be reducing capacities onboard the vessels to keep passengers at the appropriate social distances.
  • All surfaces, handrails, seats, restrooms, and tables will be sanitized and disinfected every trip and multiple times through each trip.
Parking Lot
  • Only our parking lot at 49 Jackson Street will be in operation. We will be opening our other lots as we proceed through the season.
  • The parking gates at this lot are 100% automated to limit human to human contact as much as possible. We will have an employee present in the lot to disinfect the parking machines after each car. Cash and credit will be accepted at our parking lot.
We are extremely excited to welcome everyone back and we know all our customers are excited to be back. Please be patient with us as we work to ensure everyone’s safety in transporting passengers and providing the first-class service that we are known for.
